My philosophy of care focuses on patient centered, goal directed care to enhance quality of life, while at the same time reducing suffering from symptoms caused by advanced illness. This role encompasses the entire spectrum of the disease course from diagnosis to end of life care. Medical decision making can be very stressful and difficult and my goal is to help you understand the disease process, stage of illness, treatment options and the risks and benefits of those interventions through education and honest, direct communication. My goal is to partner with you and other members of your medical team to best understand what your goals are and to create a plan to help meet those goals.
