Philosophy of Care
I believe in individualizing the treatment plan using the most up-to-date, scientific data available, taking into account the patient's goals and values, and addressing not just the medical aspects of the disease, but the emotional and psychosocial needs of the patient as well. This integrative approach is optimally delivered in a comprehensive cancer center where you will have an array of resources available at your fingertips. I will help you access those resources and achieve the best clinical outcome possible. I believe in being compassionate, but also in being honest, and think a clear and open communication between the doctor and the patient is key to excellent care.
